Versatile, High-Performance Compressor
Whether you're testing plumbing lines or making quick work of a remodeling project, the D55140's high-performance operation simplifies trim work and other jobs.

The D55140 features a one-gallon tank and a 2.6-amp motor that delivers 0.75 SCFM at 90 PSI and 135 PSI max, which makes for high-surge performance and quick recovery. Additionally, the draw motor offers easy startup and reduced breaker tripping, as well as a high-flow regulator that provides maximum air pressure to increase jobsite performance. And running at 69 dBA, the D55140 provides end users with a quieter operation compared to the competition.

The D55140 is also equipped with an oil-free, long-life pump, allowing for maintenance-free operation. The oil-free design of the pump eliminates the need for you to check or refill the pump, and it also helps keep your jobsite clean by preventing oil from transferring to your work surface.

Exceptionally Durable for Long Life
The efficient and unique design of the D55140 ensures maximum durability and longevity. DeWalt built the heavy-duty cast-iron compressor with an innovative roll cage and a full-protection frame designed to shield the unit from routine wear and tear and accidental damage. In addition, a wrap-around control panel covers the frame and provides further protection of key compressor components.Compact, Lightweight Design for Easy Portability
Measuring 24 pounds and with a height of just nine inches, the D55140 is ideal for those who prefer hand-carry compressors. For further convenience, DeWalt equipped the D55140 with a one-hand, universal quick connection for easy-to-use operation with any of your pneumatic tools. And for increased efficiency, the D55140 was designed with a ball drain valve for quick and thorough tank draining and with a convenient cord wrap for easy storage.

a nice lite weight compressor perfect for any size trim job. Plenty of power to run a finish gun or pin nailer. I haven't had the compressor that long but I just installed 700' of baseboard and was quite satisfied the way it performed.

Got this compressor last christmas so haven't had it that long yet, but so far it's worked without a hitch. This is a nice little compressor for trim jobs. It's very easy to carry around because of its light weight. It fills up fast and is rather quiet. Got all new windows in my house and have had to case them all. No problems using my trim nailer with this compressor, it would go on about every 7 shots. I highly recommend this compressor for light trimming jobs.

This is a great little air compressor to use. It is very quiet as stated, and its easy to move around because of its light weight. Very nice to use when running a brad or finish nailer as I have tried using it to do some interior trim work. An overall great air compressor with plenty of power, light in weight, and very quiet. I would definitely recommend it to others.
the best compressor for the home workshop

I bought this compressor because it is one of the smallest available, yet it is well made for professional use. This is all you need if you don't have permanent air use like in a home workshop. Since it is so small you can easily carry it around to the point of use. I use this compressor for example to keep my car tires in spec. It is so much of a hassle to do that at the gas station (and I am anyway always in a hurry at the gas station). You just charge the compressor tank, unplug the cord and carry the compressor to the tires. The one gallon tank is easily big enough for all tires of my 2 cars (incl. spares). The compressor is very well sealed, I tested that the pressure of initially 140psi does not drop below 125psi in two days.
